Hello, I’m Clare…

I am a freelance solicitor here to help businesses decipher commercial law issues.

My clients range from small start-ups to international companies.  My job is to remove the legal jargon, break down the legal to-do’s into bite size chunks and help businesses comply with all the applicable commercial laws.  All in a friendly, down-to-earth, clear and practical manner.

No legalese or over-wordy advice operates here!  I’m passionate about making the legal requirements more palatable for businesses owners.  My aim is to get rid of my clients legal over-whelm and anxiety!

I qualified as a solicitor back in 2002, and my background is the corporate world, where I worked in-house for many years (for HSBC and EA Games) before spending some time in private practice.  So, I understand the commercial issues that businesses face and the importance of providing quality legal advice.

Aubergine Legal was set up in 2017 in Haslemere, Surrey and I have been happily advising clients both locally (face-to-face) and throughout the UK (remotely by phone and via screen!).
