The pack contains 8 resources:

    • Outline of parental consent and different ages of children and what you need to do for each age category.
    • When you do and don’t need parental consent.
    • Brief summary of Gillick Competent.
    • Information on the Children’s Code.
    • What is a child friendly privacy Policy and when you need one.
  • Child Friendly Privacy Policy template. Written in child friendly language this sets out the data privacy terms that is required under UK GDPR.  This template also includes an AI clause to satisfy transparency requirements when using AI in your business.
  • Child Friendly Therapy Terms template. Written in child-friendly language, this explains to the child how the therapy sessions will run and what their rights are.  This also includes an AI clause.
  • Therapy Terms for Parents Template (to deal with payment terms, liability, disclaimers, appointment making, etc.) including an AI clause.
  • Psychology Safeguarding Policy. This is an internal document for staff outlining procedures and responsibilities to protect children and vulnerable adults from harm, including legal frameworks, recognition of abuse, reporting processes, confidentiality, and team member training requirements.
  • Child Friendly Therapy Information & Privacy Rights Video. This short, unbranded video (2:49 minutes) is ideal for psychology practices offering therapy services to children and teenagers. Designed to be easily integrated into your practice, the video can be shown to young clients before they begin their therapy journey. It helps children and teens understand their rights in therapy sessions, using language and visuals tailored to their age group.
  • Child Friendly Psychologist Information Sheet.  This is a document you can tailor to explain to the child who you are and how therapy sessions will work.
  • Child Friendly AI Guidance and Consents.  If you are using AI tools when providing therapy services to children then you need to explain to children that you are using the tools and how their health data is being treated.  This guidance is colourful, is full of images and clearly explains to the child what is being used and why.  It has the importance consent box as well so you can comply with UK GDPR requirements.
